In the spring of 2021 as we emerged from "sheltering at home" I created mixed media pieces on rosin paper. Each piece, completed in a single day was inspired by diverse musical artists. I allowed the music to guide my strokes and colors and felt a sense of exhilarated freedom knowing that I planned to  burn the finished pieces. Little did I know that some pigments would not burn and with the curling and folding of the ashes new work  would emerge!
